At last I stirred myself to move away from the house (and, importantly the central heating!) to go back in the studio. It was a productive session, not least as I made an effort to finish off the clearing up from the move back before Christmas and made more inroads into completion of some outstanding and incomplete pieces. All this might be seen as prevarication in the face of the vital task of making up the aluminium panels that will form the Deadly Delicious series when shown this coming November. I console myself with the thought that, firstly it makes sense to work on them as a whole (and I’m taking delivery of the remainder of the panels next week) and secondly, the intervening period is sound thinking time as to both which of the images to select and, more vitally, how to approach the handling of the paint given the change of support.
